7 Call-To-Action Types Every YouTube Video Must Have

When you get to the end of your videos, you must ask your viewers to take a specific action on your channel. If you don’t explicitly tell your viewers what they must do, they are not going to make their way to the clearing themselves. Including a strong call-to-action or CTA can bring you more subscribers, views and engagement. Here are 7 CTAs you simply must not miss including at the end of your videos:

1. Get viewers to watch another one of your related videos
If you made a video on “how to give your dogs a bath”, tell your viewers to go watch another video that you made about “how to groom your dog’s hair”. For example, you could say “If you liked this video, you should check out my last video where I show you how to groom your dog’s hair. Make sure you insert links to your related videos on your end screen.

2. Turn your viewers into subscribers
This is one of the most important CTAs to get viewers to click on your subscribe button. Rather than demanding them to subscribe, ask them to contribute by subscribing only if they think that your content has provided value to them. Instead of just saying “please subscribe to my channel” you could say “if you liked this video, please subscribe” in a creative way.

3. Lead viewers to your social media handle, website, merchandise store and blog
Pop in links to your digital media assets in your video description. You can also post icons of your social media handles with your username on your end screen and tell viewers that you’ve added the links down in the description box.

5. Ask people to share your videos
One of the best ways to go viral is by creating content that people want to share. When you encourage viewers to share your videos amidst their network, it exposes your content to a new audience each time someone shares it.

6. Get people to like your videos
When people start to like your videos, it will rank higher in search engine results and you’ll have viewers reeling in to find out what the hype is about. So ask people to hit the like button if they enjoyed what they saw.
